安塞姆·基弗
（Anselm Kiefer，1945－）
安塞姆·基弗（Anselm Kiefer，1945－），德国新表现主义代表画家之一。他被公认为德国当代著名的艺术家。70年代，他曾师从德国当代最有影响力的前卫艺术家约瑟夫·波伊斯（JosephBeuys）和彼得·德雷尔（PeterDreher）。基弗曾有“成长于第三帝国废墟之中的画界诗人”之称谓，其画无论创作手法还是呈现面貌均极为当代，但往往主题晦涩而富含诗意，隐含一种饱含痛苦与追索意味的历史感。
基弗在工作中
用绘画来表述和定义德国的历史和文化发展，是艺术家基弗进行创作的初衷，这使基弗被视作“德国罪行的考古学家”。但他是一位没有政治野心的艺术家，他善于观察和思考，从不用艺术去哗众取宠，在创作中形成了其独特的绘画语言。基弗的工作方式私密、缓慢，难以言喻地艰深。他说：“我读很多、写很多，我画画……没有病假，不会罢工。我不是明星，我待在家中创作。”
